Our funding

The Roanoke Valley SPCA is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. We rely solely on the generosity of the community for the funding necessary to care for thousands of homeless and unwanted animals throughout the year. The funding comes through fundraisers, donations, bequests, and grants. We do NOT receive funds from any governmental body or any state or national animal welfare organization.

Many businesses in our area support our mission to "improve the quality of life for animals and the people they touch" with generous donations of products and services. Our corporate sponsors also provide underwriting and in-kind contributions to help maximize the profitability of our events. Their support is invaluable and very appreciated as we care for the animals in need.
