Say hello to Cal!!! This 3 year old hound mix is a handsome and energetic guy. Cal is a true athlete and would make a pawsome jogging partner or agility contestant. Really he would love any activity that combines him being able to stretch his legs and be by his master’s side at the same time! Cal is eagerly looking for a loving guardian who will take him home and never let him be lonely again. He was brought to the Roanoke Valley SPCA after being left on the streets to fend for himself. He was scared and lonely all by himself and is ready to start his life with a family!

Cal does have a lot of enthusiasm for life and loves to be active so he would do best in a family that has the time and energy to play with him and at least give him one good, long walk each day! You know they say the more you exercise the more your body will release good endorphins in your brain, sooooo you are not only healthier but happier as well… maybe that is why this fella always has a smile on his face! You will find yourself grinning whenever you are with Cal as well!!!

There is no denying that Ghost is a true beauty. Ghost is also beautiful on the inside as well. She is a friendly and polite 2 year old Siamese mix waiting here at the Roanoke Valley SPCA to find her furever home. Ghost has never known what it feels like to have a family all to herself and never have to worry about who is going to love her and take care of her. Her friends here at the RVSPCA keep reassuring her that it will not be long now before she gets adopted because she is just too darn delightful to resist. You don’t need to worry that ghost will disappear like a ghost when you get her home; she is actually very sociable and playful so she would make a purrrrfect feline addition to any family that likes to laugh and cuddle!

His name is Houdini and he is a kitten whose zest for life spreads like wild fire to all his friends here at the RVSPCA. He loves to play and can make anything old game seem like a thrilling chase or daring adventure. All you need is imagination and enthusiasm… that’s Houdini’s motto!!!

Houdini is of course very active and playful, but he is also a very sweet and cuddly boy after he has scampered about enough to burn off some of his kitten energy. He is always curious about the world around him. His sense of wonder is very endearing and you will be tickled as you watch his eyes light up at any new prospect of fun or investigation!

Blossom is a sweet and gentle 1 year old calico kitty with a lovely diluted grey coat. Blossom is a sensitive soul with a kind nature. She is very whimsical in her characteristics and will prance lightly following you from room to room in your home and curl herself onto your lap and purr delightfully anytime you settle in one spot for more an a minute at a time. Blossom has the most luminous eyes and will enchant you whenever you catch her gaze!

Pattie

Watch your step when you are around this spunky little girl! At a whopping 6 ½ pounds, Pattie can fit easily into any lap. She does like to follow the footsteps of friends closely though; mostly because she cannot stand the thought of possibly being left out of any fun or missing any opportunity to be close to you. One easy way to remove the fret over having to worry because of how she likes to zig zag in between your steps; you can just give in and carry her around in your arms! That is her favorite mode of transportation; being carried from room to room in the loving and safe embrace of your arms.

Pattie is a seven month old Chihuahua mix. She is very dainty but what she lacks in physical size she makes up for in her big personality! You will be amazed at what a great big heart such a little dog can have! Pattie is also a smart pup and she already knows how to sit on command. She also has a puppy sweet tooth and loves to get treats.  Pattie is sweet, friendly, and playful… what more can you want out of a little fun sized pup?!?!

Pattie is still very young so she will need a family who will not only love and cherish her for her whole life (could be well over 10-12 years) and also be dedicated to helping her learn all of her doggy manners. We know that Pattie has so much potential and just hope that whoever finally gives her the furever home that she deserves will take great care of her. Gypsy will enchant you with her beauty and charm. She is one of our more mature cats here at the shelter, but that just means she is wise and knows exactly what she wants out a relationship, how to cultivate affection from whomever she wants/whenever she wants, and also how to land on her feet in any situation.

Gypsy is a gorgeous domestic long haired tortoiseshell kitty. She is very laid back and relaxed. Gypsy never seems to be flustered by any company she may be entertaining; always giving the world her calm and collected kitty face with an air of benevolence about her.

Gypsy loves affection and is always eager to return the favor with plenty of purring and rubbing. She adores having her luxurious long tortoiseshell coat brushed and will always welcome a good petting!

Look at this silly girl!!! Tippy Toes is a 3 month old medium haired black Bombay kitten. She has personality and looks going for her. Tippy Toes is the “class clown” and loves to keep everyone around her laughing and smiling. Tippy Toes has been known to chase her own tail in circles till she has everyone watching her as dizzy from the spinning and delirious from the laughing! Tippy Toes likes to get attention when she wants it, so you may become accustomed to the melody of her meow ringing out as she follows you from room to room announcing that it is time to play! She also gets a kick out of any toys that she can find and even anything she can turn into a toy (your fingers and toes included).

She will be your very own cheerleader, jumping with joy anytime you walk into a room with her and eagerly scampering close to your side at every opportunity just to make sure you never feel lonely or unloved.

Better watch out because Monty will steal your heart away!!! He may look a bit intimidating, but don’t be fooled by his tough guy persona… he is really a big love bug and a gentle giant. Monty is a 4 year old handsome white and brindle Boxer and American Bulldog mix with a tenderness in his big ole heart that will have you in awe of how sweet he is. Monty is very calm and laid back; he would fit perfectly in any family who likes to relax and watch some sports on lazy Sunday afternoons and then throw the ball around out back for a while. He won’t ask for too much, just a warm and comfy spot next to you on the couch is all he wants.

Lily is a whimsical little kitty! She is only about six months old and she is a beautiful calico cat. Lily is very petite and has the most delicate and refined features. She has a uniqueness about her that makes people stare and wonder what is going on behind those luminous emerald eyes. 

Lily can be a bit shy when first meeting new friends, but she warms up quickly when shown kindness. Lily is a real lover when she feels comfortable around someone. She enjoys attention from her friends and will return any affection with sweet purrs. Lily will make a wonderful feline companion for anyone who has a home that isn’t too rumbustious and would like a pretty little kitty who will quietly enjoy their company.
