The Roanoke Valley SPCA relies on the generosity of the community for the funding necessary to care for thousands of animals throughout the year. You can prove your love of animals by making a tax-deductible donation to our general operating fund, or specify how you would like your contribution to be used. No amount is too large…or too small.
Volunteer
Volunteering for the RVSPCA is a rewarding way to give of your time! The only way to understand the feeling of satisfaction one gets from helping the homeless animals is to experience it first hand. The RVSPCA offers a comprehensive volunteer program providing many different opportunities to choose from based on individual interests, talents, and availability. We will make every effort to provide a productive, educational and rewarding experience for you while you support our work on behalf of all of our animals.
Foster a Pet
Often the RVSPCA takes in animals in need of extra care and attention, such as orphaned animals, newborn litters of puppies or kittens, and animals recovering from illnesses or injuries. Volunteers who have filled out an application and have been approved as foster care givers provide the extra TLC these animals require until they are ready for adoption. This volunteer activity requires extra time and commitment, but is very rewarding!
Wish List
Having a soft, comfortable bed to rest on greatly reduces stress in shelter dogs. You can help by donating a bed through the Kuranda Company. Your donation comes directly to the RVSPCA and is 30% below normal retail prices.
