Foster an Animal

We need your help

This is the only chance these babies have to live!!

Become a Foster Home

Often the shelter takes in animals in need of extra care and attention, such as orphaned animals, newborn litters of puppies or kittens, and animals recovering from illness or injuries. Volunteers who have filled out an application and have been approved as foster care givers provide the extra TLC these animals require until they are ready for adoption. This volunteer activity requires extra time and commitment, but is very rewarding!

If you can help us out, please contact Ann Marie Sweeney, 540.339.9505, atroup@rvspca.org.

Foster Application

If you meet the requirements and would like to become a foster home please download the application form, return it to us, and someone will get in touch with you.

Can you help give these babies the chance they deserve?

Katie spent several weeks in foster care and received basic obedience training, housetraining, and lots of love She was adopted within the first two days after she returned from foster care and is doing wonderfully!
